What are Toastmasters?

Toastmasters are people who recognize the importance of communication skills in all aspects of life. They join clubs around the world to develop their communication and leadership skills, so that they can improve themselves both professionally and personally.

Toastmasters International (TMI) is the leading movement devoted to making effective oral communication a worldwide reality. Through member clubs like the Porcupine Toastmasters, TMI helps people learn the arts of speaking, listening and critical thinking. These vital skills promote self-expression, enhance leadership potential and foster better interpersonal relationships. For more information about Toastmasters International, visit their official website.

The Porcupine Toastmasters is a local club serving the Timmins, Ontario area. The club members meet once a week during the months of September to June. Guests are always welcome to sit in for free at any meeting to see what Toastmasters is all about. Click here to find out what to expect at a Porcupine Toastmasters meeting.
